Fernanda Mª. Cordeiro de Oliveira

Coordinator of PPGFAP, Professor at UFSC

She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology (2010) and a master’s degree in Evolutionary Biology (2012) from the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa; and a doctoral degree in Botany (2017) from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Since her doctoral degree, she has worked with plant anatomy, with a special interest on: vegetative organs, flower anatomy, developmental anatomy, ecological anatomy, and anatomy applied to systematics. She became a professor at UFSC in early 2018. She assumed the position of Coordinator of PPGFAP in May 2022.

Paulo Tamaso Mioto

Deputy Coordinator of PPGFAP, Professor at UFSC

He holds an undergraduate degree in Biology (2007), a master’s degree in Botany (2011) and a doctoral degree in Botany (2016) from the Universidade de São Paulo. During his doctoral studies, he worked with the modulation of crassulacean acid metabolism in bromeliad species. He became a professor at UFSC in 2017. He is currently investigating the role of ectomycorrhizal fungi on the physiology of native restinga plants, focusing on a plant species with high potential for the recovery of degraded areas. He assumed the position of Deputy Coordinator of PPGFAP in May 2022.
